The Bene4 Mono is Nova3D’s latest MSLA 3D printer. Like its predecessor, the Bene4, it has a print volume of 130 x 80 x 150 mm, but now offers faster print times thanks to its monochrome 2K LCD screen.

However, that’s not the only new feature that the Bene4 Mono comes with. It has Wi-Fi connectivity, a remote control and a flip cover – its ease of use is convincing, and that’s what sets it apart from its budget competitors.

(1) Monochrome screen
The Nova Bene4 Mono comes with a 6.08-inch monochrome screen. The monochrome version cuts printing time in half compared to the RGB LCD screen previously used. Nova3D says the Bene4 Mono can print at around 40mm/h, which is in the same region as the Mars 2 Pro, but slower than Anycubic’s new Mono series to be slower.

(2) 2K resolution
The same print area as its predecessor, the non-monochrome Bene4, with a 130 mm x 80 mm print surface and a 2K display of 2560 x 1620 pixels underneath, allows for XY accuracy of 50 microns while achieving the industry standard 10 micron layer height.

(3) Remote Control
Bene4 Mono has wireless connectivity for remote control. You can send files via Wi-Fi or start printing remotely from the printer’s internal 8GB storage. Of course, you can also control the printer directly through its 4.3-inch color touch screen.

Nova3D’s Bene4 Mono comes with its own proprietary slicing software, NovaMaker. it has received mixed reviews from users online, and the software struggles in many ways and lacks usability. It is compatible with the popular and capable Lychee slicer.

(5) Flip-top lid
The hinged acrylic lid is a big plus for usability. Printing with resin almost always ends up in such a mess that, over time, part of the printer becomes covered with semi-cured resin. That’s where the Bene4 Mono’s flip-top lid comes into play. You can easily flip it open with one finger, simply and conveniently.

(6) Factory level
The Bene4 Mono uses the no-levelling design that the company has already used on previous resin machines. Whereas on similar resin printers you usually need to level the bed before starting your first print, the Bene4 Mono is factory leveled and ready to print right out of the box. This minimization of pre-flight preparation is particularly appealing to novices.
