Completely independent from Huawei, Honor has released on the native Chinese market Honor Pad X7 8.0 tablet (original 荣耀平板X7 8英寸), which is quite accidentally like two drops of water similar to the tablet Huawei MatePad T8 sold here. The only differences are the inscription on the body and the amount of memory. The T8 is available in 2+16GB and 2+32GB variants. For the X7, they forgot to prescribe the amount of memory in the specs. And in the store at the moment there is only one variant 3+32 GB Wi-Fi – it costs ¥899 (₽10400, $139). An LTE-enabled version should definitely be available. It’s possible that there may be more memory there. Maybe something else will also appear. Time will tell.
Judging by the pictures, the tablet seems to be designed for children. But this is inaccurate.
The characteristics are simple. Chipset MediaTek MT8768T on ancient cores Cortex-A53. Performance is low, just under a hundred thousand points in AnTuTu8. The screen is eight inches. IPS matrix – already thanks. But the resolution is low – 800×1280 (189 ppi).
The battery has a capacity of 5100 mAh. The rear camera is 5 MP, there is autofocus. The front camera 2 MP, no autofocus. Wi-Fi dual-band. Oddly enough, it supports all major satellite systems, including Galileo. But the USB, alas and ah, only Micro.
Another oddity – support for all “our” LTE bands, including the seventh and twentieth.
