The quality is not bad, it looks good, there are no material defects, no badly machined parts.
It stays in the ear very well
The design of the earphones makes them fit really well in the ears and they stay in place even when moving.
How good is the sound?
There is no sound that is right for everyone. If it’s realistic with relatively little bass, that’s a problem, if it’s too much and it’s affecting the overall sound, then again, there will be people who don’t like it.
And of course you’re left balancing between the two, which is fortunate because it can suit lovers of both main sound types and the BlitzWolf BW-ANC2 is exactly that.
The ANC2 gives a realistic close, clean and detailed sound that is quite powerful with a pleasant amount of bass. Both highs and lows sound good, with no weird sound, neither too high nor too low.
That said, it’s a very enjoyable sound for any style of music, whether instrumental with lots of vocals or electronic with lots of bass.
During the test it was in mixed use, music, movies, games and it can be said that this is a universally good set of headphones that if you buy it, you will enjoy using it.
Around 50% is enough, that’s the level that’s quite loud, but not yet to a damaging degree.
Kodek: AAC, SBC
Supported profiles: HSP/HFP/A2DP/AVRCP
Transmission distance: 10m
Frequency range: 20-20kHz
Wireless systems such as Bluetooth have a latency, as it takes some time for the signal to reach the right place. The amount of delay varies, but in this case it is quite small, so it can be used for movies and games.
Use for calls
It performs well on calls, with a good quality and loud voice on the other end.
Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)
Active Noise Cancellation suppresses ambient noise entering the ear by emitting a sound wave of the same amplitude but in phase inversion (antiphase) to the original sound. That is, unlike passive noise reduction (e.g. earplugs), it analyses the noise and cancels it out. The exact extent to which it can do this is unknown, but in principle it can only effectively reduce softer noise. So it’s not worth buying for that reason alone, or if it’s also specifically important.
Active noise cancelling can be used on its own if you’re not listening to anything but want to reduce noise from the outside world. Used on its own, you can hear a very faint hiss. If there is also useful sound, the quality is somewhat degraded. This is also a drawback.
It reduces static, repetitive noise better than wind noise, humming, cars, buses, that sort of thing.
Battery, operating time
With a 200mAh battery, the manufacturer claims 30 hours of use, and 20 hours if ANC is active. It can do that at around 50% volume, so a couple of hours a day can last up to 2 weeks on a single charge.
It charges in about 2 hours via the Type-C connector.
The BlitzWolf BW-ANC2 is a really well made headset with great sound, a very long battery life of 30 hours, a very comfortable and stable design. The price is reasonable anyway, and with a coupon it is very good.
Definitely recommended, but the active noise cancellation is more of an extra than a real benefit, so if it’s really important, it might not be a good choice.
