Since the iPlay 20 is no longer on Banggood’s digital shelves, Alldocube had to bring something to replace it.
After all, such a best-selling series isn’t something you give away easily. And so out came the Alldocube iPlay 20S which is 95% an iPlay 20.
It’s just that this S is almost ready for delivery, while the simple one will probably be discontinued in a short time.
These two tablets are similar in almost all areas. The display is a 10.1″ capacitive one with 1920×1200 resolution.
At the top it houses a camera at 2.0MP while at the back there is a 5.0MP sensor. Both are there to say we have cameras too. Personally, I can’t remember the last time I took a photo of a tablet even out of curiosity.
Under the hood the SC9863A continues to shoot almost all by itself. No upgrades in that area. A basic processor with low power consumption and 4G support.
The latter has all the bands we want in Greece. In the package you’ll find Bluetooth 5.0 as well as dual band WiFi and GPS.
Same and unchanged are the memories, as we remain at 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM.
As much as I searched I didn’t find it to support radio like the iPlay 20, but I don’t necessarily rule it out. I just haven’t eaten yet, so… forgive me 🙂
Microphones, speakers, dual SIM drawer and headphone port are all there, and expandable memory (with a Micro SD card) goes up to 128GB. The iPlay 20 without the “S” went up to 512GB.
The dimensions didn’t change much, but the Alldocube iPlay 20S is heavier and thicker than the other one: 242x168x8.7mm and weight at 500 grams instead of 450gr
Quite a lot of that weight is due to its battery, which reaches 6000mAh and is a fine number. It charges with Usb-C and if Alldocube stays true to tradition, this one charges SLOWLY.
That’s not necessarily a bad thing though. Especially if it’s intended for kids. They’ll learn to be patient until they play again.
Banggood’s offer has it priced at €138.2, and the first shipments will start sometime before May 22.
